Description
This course is for anyone who interacts with families. You might be an educator, librarian, social worker, daycare staff, or simply working in your community. Your programming is vital to the families you serve and support. Fostering literacy skills through your programming has lasting effects for families as they build stronger bonds of affection and prepare the next generation for success in life. This course will introduce you to family literacy as a practice and help you easily integrate family literacy activities into your programming or services. By the end of this course you will be able to do the following:
1. Recognize the benefits of family literacy programming for your organization and the audiences you serve.
2. Create your own family literacy activity.
